Pattern Testing for Rose Skirt by Felles A Maman

Once again, I was able to test another pattern from Filles a Maman

This is the knit Rose Skirt. Like the Agathe & Theo Pants, this also has pleats, waistband (with elastic insert), side pockets and bottom band.

I tested size 10 & used the hot pink (My DD's fave color is pink, can u tell?) swiss dots for the main skirt & bottom band. For the waistband, I used white ribbing.

I think it's one of the cutest skirt I've ever made! Pattern runs from 6 mos-16 Y.

Again, another must have!

FYI: If you're a bit conservative like me, don't worry! The length of this skirt is decent. Bottom band hits just right above the knee. Good right? Perfect for casual wear or occasion.

PS: My DD would still wear her knit shorts under it, just because! Like I said, we're on the conservative side lol

Pattern Review for the Agathe and Theo Pants

If you're looking for a stylish comfy pants for kids and teens, I would recommend Agathe and Theo Pants by Filles a Maman.

The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Each step has photos to help and guide you all the way to the end.

Now, I know what's on your mind...

Knit???? Oh no!!!

If you're scared, don't be! It's not as intimidating as you think. Just choose the right fabric weight, needle, machine and you're good to go.
If you're a novice, stay away from the super thin ones. You're not gonna like it and you'll hate knit forever!!!

Well, maybe not! Lol

Anyways, back to my review...

My DD is 8, she's tall and has a medium built. She is a good sz 10 or 12 top and bottoms depending on the brand. On handmade clothes, I usually do 10-12. She likes comfortable fit.

I tested 10. It was a perfect choice! It fits great on her :) I like the length and fit.

For the waistband and leg bands, I used white ribbing.  I also like the pleats and side pockets. I think they're the cutest thing ever!

Definitely, a must have! Pattern sizes run from 12 mo-14 Y.
